About the Role
Inc Consulting are delighted to be partnering with a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Strategic Senior Buyer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping procurement strategy and driving measurable value across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement strategy for both direct materials and key indirect categories. Deliver cost savings, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives that impact bottom-line performance. Negotiate and manage strategic supplier relationships, challenging and influencing partners to achieve best commercial outcomes. Own strategic sourcing, contractual governance, and risk management for critical supply agreements. Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align procurement with operational and financial objectives.
Person Specification
- Extensive procurement or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment, with depth of expertise valued over years served.
- Proven ability to manage both direct materials and strategic indirect categories, ideally with knowledge of regulated or high-complexity sectors.
- Proactive and confident leader with energy, passion, and a results-driven mindset who thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working at board level.
- Strategic senior buyer experience with a demonstrable track record of delivering measurable savings and value improvements.
- Commercially astute negotiator with a continuous improvement mindset and strong analytical capability.

This is a fully site-based role with some travel required, offering a competitive starting salary of £57,000 plus the chance to make a real impact in a high-profile position.
