About Us

Who We Are.

We are a personable, experienced team with over 50 years of combined expertise in recruitment. We take the time to understand people properly - what motivates them, what they value most, and where they’ll thrive. Our relationships are based on trust, honest conversations, and genuine connection, which is why so many clients continue to work with us time and time again.

What We Do.

We support organisations long-term, across a broad range of multidisciplinary roles. We don’t partner with businesses for one hire and move on. Instead, we learn how your organisation works - your culture, your challenges, your commercial goals, and what helps your people succeed. That’s why, in 2025, 92% of our work came from repeat clients who value a partner that is supportive, straightforward, and trusted.

How We Work.

We work collaboratively, combining the full team’s insight and experience to support every search. You’ll speak to one consultant, but you’ll benefit from all of us. We ask thoughtful questions, offer constructive challenge, and keep conversations open and honest, creating an experience that feels personal, considered, and built around long-term partnership rather than short-term transactions.

Our Values

We believe there’s always room to grow. For us, progress comes from questioning what we’ve always done, trying new ideas, and staying open to approaches that can lead to better results. It isn’t about chasing perfection - it’s about moving forward with intention.

Day to day, that means reflecting on our work, learning from each other, and looking for smarter, more efficient ways to support our clients, candidates, and colleagues. We’re comfortable challenging ourselves and inviting fresh thinking into the way we operate.

We pay attention to feedback, continually refine our processes, and look for opportunities to raise the bar. Development is ongoing here, and we’re committed to evolving, improving, and staying curious about what’s possible.

Working as a team is central to everything we do. We’re committed to creating an environment where people feel supported, ideas are welcomed, and everyone has the space to contribute in their own way. Collaboration isn’t just encouraged here - it’s how we get things done.

Because of this, you never just work with one person in isolation. Every interaction is backed by the experience, market insight, and networks of the entire team - over 50 years of shared knowledge that sits behind every search and every conversation.

Whether you’re hiring or exploring your next career move, you’ll have a group of people working collectively on your behalf. It means a smoother experience, stronger outcomes, and the confidence that you’re supported by a team who are fully invested in helping you reach the right result.

Curiosity shapes the way we work. We make the effort to understand people properly - their ambitions, the things that matter to them, and the context behind their decisions. Taking interest in the details helps us ask better questions and see the fuller picture.

It’s not about slowing things down, but about being thoughtful. In practice, that means listening closely, gathering insight, seeking out different viewpoints, and staying open to learning from every conversation.

This way of working helps us match people well and support clients in a deeper, more meaningful way.

At Inc. Consulting, we set high standards for ourselves. We work with focus, take pride in what we deliver, and show up fully for the people we support. But we also know that a fulfilling life isn’t built on work alone - and we believe the two can complement each other, not compete.

Wellbeing is built into how we operate. From flexible working to our 9-day fortnight and a range of benefits that genuinely support our team, we create space for people to look after themselves, grow, and enjoy life outside the office.

Because when people feel valued, balanced, and supported, they’re able to do their best work - and enjoy doing it.

For us, honesty isn’t just about speaking clearly - it’s about following through. If we say we’ll do something, we commit to it wholeheartedly, even when the situation becomes more complex or the route isn’t straightforward.

That means setting realistic expectations, being transparent throughout the process, and working closely with you to find practical, creative ways forward when challenges arise. We show up, stay engaged, and keep the conversation open.

We don’t make promises we can’t stand behind. You can trust us to be dependable, accountable, and fully committed from the first conversation to the final outcome.

From the Classroom to Kelham: Seb’s Week at Inc Consulting

What happens when you take a 15-year-old out of the classroom and put them into a recruitment consultancy for a week? We decided to find out. Seb joined us at Inc Consulting for a week of work experience, getting the chance to see recruitment from the inside, sit in on candidate interviews and client meetings, meet senior finance leaders, learn about different careers and even turn the tables on our team by interviewing them for our Inc Insights articles. We asked him what he thought of it all – and, importantly, whether his view of the world of work had changed.

Employment Law is Changing. Is Your Business Ready?

It's fair to say employment law has been one of the hottest topics this year. Whilst the Employment Rights Act 2025 brings changes across a number of areas, one of the biggest changes still to come is the overhaul of ordinary unfair dismissal, due to take effect from 1 January 2027. With the qualifying period changing, tribunal claim windows expanding and the compensation cap being removed, we're speaking to more and more clients who are asking the same question: "What should we be doing now?"
