About the Role
Inc Consulting are proud to be partnering with a leading practice firm to recruit a new Head of Capital Allowances position. This is an exciting opportunity to build and grow a Capital Allowances team within a fast-growing, people-led firm.
In this pivotal role, you’ll have the chance to shape and grow a specialist capital allowances practice, driving business development and delivering expert advice to clients across a broad range of sectors. This is a unique opportunity to join a team experiencing impressive growth, where your leadership will make a tangible impact on both client outcomes and the future direction of the division.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage capital allowances projects across a diverse client portfolio.
- Conduct on-site surveys and translate findings into tax benefit reports.
- Develop strategies to maximise tax savings through capital allowances claims.
- Collaborate with surveyors and tax specialists to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Mentor and support junior team members as the division grows.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within a strong referral network.
Person Specification
- ACA, ACCA, CTA or RICS qualified.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Capital Allowances.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results.
- Strong technical knowledge of plant & machinery, fixtures, and integral features.
- Comfortable with UK-wide travel for site visits.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements, typically spending two days in the office, while maintaining flexibility for site work. The position is ideally based in the Sheffield office, though other locations will also be considered. Please note that the role involves significant UK-wide travel to visit client sites.
