About the Role

Inc. Consulting is delighted to be partnering with a PLC known for its excellent culture to recruit a Senior Group Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing finance team, working closely with senior leadership including the CFO and finance leadership team. The role plays a key part in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across the Group and offers strong exposure to group consolidation, technical accounting, and senior stakeholders.

 

Role Responsibilities

• Review the monthly group consolidation and assist with drafting sections of the Board report.
• Support the preparation of half-year results consolidation and interim accounts.
• Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements, including Plc consolidated accounts and seven trading subsidiaries, all under IFRS.
• Consolidate forecasts and support the annual budgeting process across the Group.
• Liaise with external tax advisors to ensure completion of tax returns and quarterly instalment payments.
• Manage the Group’s cash position through accurate tracking, forecasting, and oversight of bank drawdowns and deposits.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required by the senior finance team.

 

Person Specification

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with post-qualified experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly IFRS.
• Excellent IT ability, including Excel.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ambitious, driven, and able to take ownership within a fast-paced environment.
