About the Role
Inc. Consulting is delighted to be partnering with an international professional services business to recruit a Finance Manager into their EMEA Finance team, based in Sheffield.
This opportunity has arisen due to additional headcount as the organisation continues to expand across the region. The successful individual will take ownership of a dedicated geographical region, overseeing all accounting activity while acting as a key commercial partner to senior international stakeholders.
While a good level of technical capability is essential, this role requires an individial with excellent stakeholder engagement, commercial insight and influence. It will suit someone who thrives on building relationships, challenging constructively, and adding value beyond the numbers.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the full finance remit across your allocated EMEA region. This includes oversight of accounting, compliance and reporting - but with a strong emphasis on commercial partnership and supporting strategic decision-making.
You will be highly visible across the business, working closely with Partners, Directors and senior leadership internationally.
Role Responsibilities
• Take ownership of accounting activities for your dedicated geographical region across EMEA.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, journals and reporting packs, ensuring accuracy and strong financial governance.
• Oversee statutory accounts and external audit processes, ensuring full compliance.
• Manage regional tax compliance in partnership with local advisors.
• Lead on balance sheet integrity and cashflow oversight.
• Build and manage budgets and forecasts to support growth and performance tracking.
• Act as the primary finance business partner to senior stakeholders internationally — providing insight, commercial challenge and strategic support.
• Support pricing decisions, cost control, margin analysis and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Drive improvements in reporting, controls and systems.
• Oversee and sign off work produced by Assistant Accountants and transactional teams, ensuring high standards and accountability.
This role requires someone who is comfortable remaining hands-on and detail-focused, but who is equally confident stepping away from the ledger to operate as a trusted commercial adviser.
Person Specification
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
• Experience within an international or multi-site environment, ideally professional or business services.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge - able to oversee, review and sign off financial reporting with confidence.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at senior leadership level.
• Commercially minded, with the confidence to challenge constructively and contribute to strategic discussions.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
• Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused.
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions is advantageous.
Above all, we are looking for someone who can bridge finance and the wider business - translating financial data into meaningful insight and ensuring finance plays an active role in driving performance.
