About Me

David has spent over 15 years helping businesses find the right people. After eight years with a listed recruitment consultancy, where he established himself as one of the region's top performers, he joined a start-up where he spent the next seven years helping to grow the business through significant expansion, culminating in a management buyout.

David has worked across Senior Interim, Executive Search, Turnaround and Professional Practice markets throughout his career, giving him a broad understanding of the different challenges businesses face when hiring.

Having run a business himself, David brings first-hand commercial experience to every conversation. He understands the pressures of leading a business, juggling competing priorities and making important hiring decisions, which means his advice is grounded in real-world experience rather than recruitment jargon.

David’s Approach.

David has always been fascinated by solving complex problems. For him, recruitment is about understanding people, making sense of uncertainty and helping clients make confident hiring decisions. His approach combines experience with an interest in behavioural science, decision-making psychology and the patterns that underpin successful recruitment. Rather than simply filling vacancies, David enjoys helping clients think differently about hiring, challenging assumptions where needed and making what can often feel like a complicated process far more straightforward.

Whether he's supporting an organisation through a critical interim appointment or advising on a longer-term hiring strategy, David believes the best outcomes come from honest conversations, clear thinking and building genuine partnerships.

Outside of Inc.

Away from work, David is a husband and dad in a family of self-confessed space enthusiasts. You'll often find them building Lego creations, watching the latest gripping TV series or out walking their dog, Hubble.

Having realised later in life that he is autistic with ADHD, David now uses this insight to increase awareness of neurodivergence, particularly in business environments, emphasising the strengths it can bring and the importance of understanding how it works in practice.

When it's time to switch off, he enjoys working on his Japanese-inspired garden, discovering a great independent craft beer or spending a quiet afternoon by the pond, fishing.

From the Team.

"David brings a brilliant combination of commercial experience and recruitment expertise. Having built and grown a business himself, he understands the realities our clients face and gives advice that's grounded in real-world experience."

"One of David's biggest strengths is the way he thinks. He's naturally curious, challenges assumptions and isn't afraid to take a different approach if it leads to a better outcome. That mindset makes him a trusted advisor to both clients and candidates."

"David cares about doing the right thing, communicates honestly and always puts people first – qualities that make him a great fit for Team Inc."
