About the Role
Inc Consulting are proud to be partnering with a global firm who have a strong international footprint, seeking a Management Accountant to support its UK Finance team during an exciting period of activity. Based in Sheffield, this role plays a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis across several international indirect cost areas. This maternity-cover position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a high‑performing, collaborative finance function.
Job Description
- Deliver monthly management accounts, reviewing draft numbers ahead of GL close, liaising with the shared service centre, posting journals, and investigating key variances.
- Provide monthly reporting and financial insight to indirect cost Service Directors and the UK Head of Finance.
- Partner with service areas to support the annual budgeting and reforecasting process.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet and intercompany accounts, identifying and ensuring timely correction of issues.
- Prepare accurate year‑end reporting packages, audit schedules and supporting information, and liaise with auditors and Group Accounts.
- Support ad‑hoc reporting requirements including VAT, surveys, internal data requests and project work.
Person Specification
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent) with strong technical capability.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with SAP or TM1 beneficial.
- Experience using Blackline or similar bank reconciliation systems preferred.
- Confident, organised, proactive personality with the ability to hit the ground running in a fast‑paced finance environment.
- Strong communicator, comfortable engaging with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Detail‑focused, curious, and motivated to improve processes and understand the story behind the numbers.
On Offer
This is an initial 12‑month fixed‑term contract offering a competitive package of around £60,000. The role is Sheffield‑based with hybrid working and access to excellent benefits.
