About the Role
Inc Consulting is delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a PE‑backed business to recruit a high‑profile Procurement Finance Manager. Based in Sheffield, the role offers hybrid working, with on‑site attendance a couple of times per month and quarterly travel to other UK locations. Positioned at the heart of the organisation, this role plays a pivotal part in strategic decision‑making, partnering closely with stakeholders across procurement and the wider business within a fast‑paced FMCG/manufacturing environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Act as the central finance partner to Procurement, providing robust financial insight to support both day‑to‑day decisions and longer‑term strategy
- Deliver accurate weekly and monthly reporting, alongside ownership of forecasts, budgets and longer‑range planning cycles
- Analyse key cost drivers including commodities, pricing movements, rebates and purchase price variance, identifying trends and root causes
- Review and challenge tender financials, supporting commercially sound, data‑led procurement decisions
- Support value engineering and cost‑saving initiatives in collaboration with Procurement, Supply Chain and site teams
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across reporting and BI tools, translating complex information into clear, actionable insight
Person Specification
- Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA) with strong post‑qualification experience
- Proven experience working closely with procurement teams within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Strong background in financial reporting, forecasting and business partnering
- Confident, resilient and comfortable operating in a high‑visibility role with senior stakeholders
- Able to build strong relationships while also setting clear boundaries and constructively challenging decisions
- Highly analytical, commercially aware and capable of operating effectively in a fast‑moving, changeable environment
What's on offer
This role offers a salary of £55,000–£69,000 (doe) plus an attractive benefits package, alongside hybrid working with an expectation to be in the Sheffield office a couple of times per month.
